This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements.They may plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources. DURATION: 

60 Weeks

COURSE COST: 

$3,950 plus $200 Administration Fee  
 

STUDENT COHORT: 

This course is designed for existing domestic workers in business and seeking a career in leadership and management at a management level with responsibility for the work performed by others. 
 

DELIVERY TIMETABLE: 

Students are required to attend a one-weekly Zoom training session with the trainer. 

 

Entry Requirements: 

There are no formal academic requirements for this course, however Be Qualified requires that all students:
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have 2 years’ experience working in a business at a supervisory level;
  • Successfully complete the enrolment process including pre-enrolment interview and LLN Assessment
  • Have access to a PC/laptop with speakers, microphone and webcam
  • Have access to high speed Wi-Fi or cable capabilities necessary to research, upload and download documents
  • Hold sound computer skills
  • Have Windows 10, Mac OSX High Sierra, iPad IOS10 or higher
 

Recognition of Prior Learning: 

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) - learners can achieve competency in units required for this qualification by submitting a portfolio of evidence and/or successfully completing the relevant assessments by choosing an assessment only pathway. Candidates applying for RPL must be able to provide evidence of competency relevant to the chosen units including samples of their own work. Learners can apply for RPL by lodging an RPL Application Form. Credit Transfer (CT) - learners can apply for a CT by lodging a completed Application for Credit Transfer Form together with a certified copy of their certification documentation issued by any other RTO. All documentation presented in support of RPL/CT will be authenticated by Be Qualified.


Pathways & Career Outcomes: 

Students obtaining a competency for all units in this course will be awarded the full qualification BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management. Students not obtaining a competent result for all units in this course will receive a Statement of Attainment for those units assessed as being competent. Post-graduate education pathways include BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management

MODES OF ASSESSMENT: 

Students will be required to compete a range of assessment tasks. Each assessment will assessed through:
  • Written answers to questions, assignments and projects
  • Demonstration of skills in a simulated business
