HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid & HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulminary Resuscitation

The Provide First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003, is nationally accredited providing participants with the qualification to be a First Aid representative in many workplaces and other required situations.

This course allows participants to gain skills in the following areas;
How to manage an emergency situation
You will learn and practice treatment for broken bones
Management of severe illness
Emergency treatment of burns, bites, stings, poisoning and internal injuries
Management of bleeding and eye injuries
How to treat head, abdominal and chest injuries
CPR and defibrillation
Use of Epi Pen for anaphylaxis

Causes of collapse
Responsiveness
Airway Assessment
Breathing
Signs of life
Rescue breathing
Complications associated with rescue breathing
After-care

The Provide An Emergency First Aid Response In An Education & Care setting, HLTAID004, is nationally accredited course providing participants with the qualification to be a First Aid representative in many workplaces and other required situations inparticular in an education & care setting.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults.

The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.
